
Screen Citizens: Film: Bran Nue Dae
Bran Nue Dae (2009) is an Australian musical comedy-drama film directed by local filmmaker Rachel Perkins, and is a coming of age story of an Aboriginal teenager on a road trip in the late 1960s and is an adaptation of an original stage musical by Jimmy Chi. Guest Speaker, is local documentary and feature film producer, Graeme Isaac, who will be in conversation with film critic Peter Castaldi on the making of the film and the journey of it’s story – through various creations and outcomes.
