Screen Citizens: Film: Eye of the Storm
THE EYE OF THE STORM (2011) is an Australian drama film, directed by Fred Schepisi and shot on location at Centennial Park. It is an adaptation of Australian author Patrick White’s 1973 novel and centres around a dying matriarch who despite her declining health, continues to wield considerable control over everyone around her including her adult children who have come to visit their deteriorating mother. Guest speaker, local film Producer Antony Waddington joins film critic Peter Castaldi as they talk about the making of the film and the importance of small films and passion projects.
