Screen Citizens: Film: Odd Angry Shot
The recent National Film and Sound Archive digital restoration of the 1979 Australian war film follows the experiences of Australian soldiers during the Vietnam War. Shot in the 70s with an all-star aussie male cast from the time, the film focusses on the soldiers away from the battlefield and their return to Australia and their reflections on the how both they and general Australian society has changed. Locals, film director Tom Jeffrey and film producer Sue Milliken join film critic Peter Castaldi to talk about film making from the 70s through to the present and taking risks in film making.
