THE SONG KEEPERS
THE SONG KEEPERS is a remarkable documentary on the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir as they embark on a historic journey to take back the hymns that were given to their ancestors by the German missionaries but in their own ancient Aboriginal languages and on their own terms.
The film will have a special screening at the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace on Saturday June 23. After the screening of the documentary the Choir will have a special concert, followed by Q&A with the Choir members, the film director Naina Sen and the choir conductor Morris Stuart.
