Video of the Week – A Guide To American Football
A Guide To American Football from Fraser Davidson on Vimeo.
Thanks to a couple of things known as ‘geography’ and the ‘International Date Line’, in Australia, Monday, February 3, 2014 is also known Superbowl Sunday.
You see, despite it being a Monday here, over at the global superpower that the Unite States of America it is still Sunday, it is on this day that the biggest sporting event of their calendar year will take place.
Here in Australia we haven’t generally followed much American Football in year’s past, but as the Internet and cable television slowly take control of our lives, we seem to be taking greater notice of the ‘septic tanks’ and their slightly confusing snail-paced sporting pursuits.
Thus, given that today is the biggest day of the year for sporting fans in the States and because some of you may be taking the time to watch a bit of it (or at least listen to colleagues who pretend to know what they’re talking about when it comes to the NFL), I though the video above might be a useful reference point.
While the video only goes for a few minutes, if you’re considering watching the Superbowl I suggest you set aside a bit more time…
