Today’s Video of the Week is a brief history of the land called Israel/Palestine/Canaan/the Levant.

A lot of people have a lot of feelings about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Not as many of those people, however, are aware of exactly how far back the dispute over that particular piece of land goes.

This animated video details the conflict’s history, and all parties involved, with South Park-like gallows humour.

It’s almost more sad than it is funny, but that’s really how it should be. The conflict, like most conflicts, is a deeply saddening affair, after all.
