I am currently residing in the beautiful Watsons Bay.

Have you always lived there?
I was born and raised in Maroubra before moving to the Central Coast for a big chunk of my life and then I came back to the Eastern Suburbs.

What’s your favourite beach?
Bondi. Yes, I know it attracts a lot of people and can get super busy, but that view from the top of North Bondi hill in the early morning, I could never get over.

What’s your favourite eatery?
That would be Ramen Kan in Bondi Junction. Their chicken karaage is the bomb.

Where do you like to have a drink?
Definitely the Watsons Bay Hotel Beach Club. It’s newly renovated and has a really awesome vibe.

Do you have a favourite sporting team?
Sydney FC. Who couldn’t like a team that plays in Bondi Rescue lifeguard uniforms?

What music are you into at the moment?
Chill out radio from the iPhone app ‘TuneIn Radio’.

Who is your favourite person?
My son, Mathew McDermott.

What do you do for work?
I’m a lifeguard at Bondi and a SUP instructor at Watsons Bay.

What do you get up to on the weekends?
I spend weekends at my stand up paddle board school at Watsons Bay. It’s called WATSSUP.

What’s your favourite thing about your work?
Being in the water, harbour or ocean, and having an amazing natural coastline to present to new and interesting people.

Do you have a favourite quote?
“Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.” – Eleanor Roosevelt.
