Eastern Suburbs property buyer’s agent Tracey Chandler shares her local favourites with The Beast…

Where do you live?
I am currently living in Potts Point.

How long have you lived there?
Eighteen years. I came from the UK on a two-year stint and never returned.

What’s your favourite beach?
Nielsen Park – best beach in the world. I love it down there.

What’s your favourite eatery?
Icebergs at Bondi Beach. I love the ocean view.

Where do you like to have a drink?
The Golden Sheaf in Double Bay or the Paddington Inn.

Do you have a favourite sporting team?
Coming from Leeds, I would have to say Leeds United.

What music are you into at the moment?
I’m into all music except heavy rock.

Who is your favourite person?
I would say my two boys, 22 and 23. I have lots of friends so I dare not mention any names. I think my favourite famous person is Dawn French; she is absolutely hilarious. So Dawn, if you are reading this, call me and we can catch up for a cuppa!

What do you get up to on the weekends?
I work all weekend with property inspections, but if I get the chance I tackle my garden. I also love to kayak. I like to drop in at Balmoral Beach and kayak that entire area.

What do you do for work?
I’m a property buyer’s agent – I find great properties for my clients, negotiate and secure. Visit www.traceychandlerbuyersagent.com.au or call 0416 100 839.

What’s your favourite thing about your work?
I love finding my clients their dream home, especially when I secure it bidding at auction.

Do you have a favourite quote?
“The squeaky door gets oiled” – I am very persistent and never give up. If you don’t get the answer you want from a person, company, waiting list, job interview, real estate agent, try again, then again, then again – it’s true… the squeaky door gets oiled!

Any other words of wisdom for readers of The Beast?
I am a business person, so my words of wisdom have always focused around business. I have always followed my heart and have always worked with what I was passionate about and that created success from an early age. People always say I am so lucky and I reply: “Isn’t it funny, the harder I work, the luckier I get!” You have to love what you are doing and make your job your hobby.
