Local Favourite – Marie

Marie comes from Stockholm, Sweden (not Switzerland) and has lived in North Bondi for the best part of two years. She has three kids and owns her own small business selling cool Scandinavian-designed kids clothing, including some great rain gear. Marie shares her local favourites with

Favourite Beach: Bondi Beach. I absolutely love surfing; it is my passion.

Eatery: Japanese restaurant Zakura in Bondi Junction. Having lunch there a couple of times a week with no kids makes my week!

Watering Hole: I like a glass of wine overlooking the water at North Bondi RSL, but nothing beats the afterski in the French Alps.

Sporting Team: As my partner Damian is from Melbourne and we lived there for almost two years, I am a massive Essendon fan. Go the Bombers! I absolutely love AFL; it is a great sport.

Music: I am an old rock chick so Guns ‘n’ Roses, Stone Temple Pilots and Metallica are my favourites.

Person: The Commando in The Biggest Loser.

Weekend Activity: Having three kids, we mostly meet up with friends who also have young kids. Surf trips are great too if time allows for them.
