Video of the Week – Tufty (The Rise of Blood Teddy Bears)
TUFTY from Jason Butler on Vimeo.
When i was a kid i had a guinea pig named Tufty. My older brother wanted me to call it ‘Cluft’. He was an odd fruit, and this caused many arguments.
Sadly, Tufty died of heat stroke one hot summer’s day.
The film above has nothing to do with guinea pigs, but it does have a very important message, particularly at this time of festive gift giving.
There has been an overwhelming increase in the availability of ‘Blood Teddy Bears’. This is a very disturbing occurrence. Next time you buy a teddy bear for a loved one be sure you are aware of where they come from.
This video provides an intriguing insight into the atrocities of teddy bear poaching.
