Video of the Week – Bamboozled (Tropfest Winner)

If you couldn’t make it to Tropfest in Centennial Park last Sunday and missed the media reports about the outrage directed toward the winner this year, I’ll quickly fill you in on the details.

Basically, the short film has been accused of being homophobic and transphobic, and a variety of celebrity types who identify as being gay have come out in opposition to it, screaming blue murder and questioning how the judges could’ve given it the nod.

Meanwhile, another openly gay celebrity type, Josh Thomas, has come out saying that he couldn’t see the problem with the film and that it’s not all offensive to him.

Anyway, rather than dribble on further about all the hoo-ha, I’ve decided to make the short film, called Bamboozled, this week’s Video of the Week, so you can all sit back, hit play and decide for yourselves.
