Teahupoo is one of the most powerful and perfect waves in the world. It is, on its day, one of the deadliest.

Only the most esteemed and courageous surfers take on Tahiti’s most famous wave. Not only is it big and powerful, it breaks over an extremely shallow and sharp coral reef.

So it’s not everyday that a 16 year-old gets out there and charges it. It’s even less frequent that said teenager belongs to the fairer sex, which makes the above video even more amazing.

Frankie Harrer is an absolute machine. Full respect to her. It’s great to see the girls getting out there and showing the boys how it’s done!
