Video of the Week – Train Surfing In Africa
STAFF RIDING SUB ENG from MARCO CASINO on Vimeo.
It’s easy to forget how lucky we to have the ocean right on our doorstep, providing us with the opportunity to cool down, relax, reflect and even let off some steam.
Over in South Africa, while there are plenty of good waves, socioeconomic factors don’t necessarily afford everyone the opportunities that we Aussies are blessed with.
To let off steam, a generation of young Africans are taking to the trains, risking their lives and limbs (quite literally) while surfing the massive steel beasts.
Today’s video of the week takes a look at the stories of a couple of young train surfers and their family members. It’s certainly a far cry from chasing barrels on Bronte Reef.
