October Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down

By Dan Hutton on September 30, 2011 in Other

Up – At Home With Julia – Thanks to our national broadcaster for airing a show that takes the piss out of our prime minster.

Down – Greedy Union Scumbags – Yes Mr Thomson, we’re talking to you and your hooker rooting cronies.

Up – Touch Footy Season – The physiotherapists’ favourite time of year begins in late October. Hello hammy strains!

Down – Terrorism – Surely there’s a less destructive way to make a point when you’re not happy with things.

Up – Daylight Saving – It’s been a long, cold, wet, dark winter and we’re looking forward to some long, warm afternoons.

Down – Qantas and Telstra – Two of Australia’s most renowned companies and two of Australia’s worst.

Up – Self Service Checkouts – Scanning your bananas through as carrots is not stealing, technically speaking.

Down – Return of the Bluebottle – The Portuguese Man o’ War returned to our beaches painfully early at September start.

Up – Footy Finals – AFL, NRL and Rugby World Cup finals will all be held this month and we’re pumped!
