Waverley Council is offering new subsidised parking permits for residents at the Hollywood Avenue Carpark in an attempt to increase parking availability across the LGA.
Under Waverley Council’s new initiative, residents living in the Waverley Council area can purchase a monthly parking permit for 50 per cent of the original price.
The Hollywood Avenue Carpark is located near Westfield Bondi Junction and offers 175 secure car spaces.
Waverley Mayor Paula Masselos said that this was a new initiative to try and take the pressure off on-street parking in high-density areas.
“We know that on-street parking is in high demand across our LGA due to the sheer number of people who live, work in and visit our area. By providing access to off-street overnight parking, we are also helping free up parking for residents in surrounding streets,” Mayor Masselos told The Beast.
Permits for the Hollywood Avenue carpark are only valid between 5pm and 9am daily, including for Waverley residents.
