October Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down

By James Hutton on October 5, 2012 in Other

Up – The Sunday Papers – Newspapers may be dying a slow death but we’re not sure we could live without the Sunday rags.

Down – Homelessness – It’s sad that in the affluent Eastern Suburbs we still have issues with homelessness.

Up – Breast Cancer Awareness – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Be sure to buy a pink ribbon on October 24.

Down – Election Fines – Copping a fine for failing to vote in local elections is an absolute crock of shit.

Up – The Paralympics – More emotional, more inspirational and a shit load more gold medals for Australia.

Down – Conjunctivitis – Waking up in the morning with your eyes sealed closed by eye boogers ain’t good.

Up – Lamb – Woollies and Coles have reduced the price of it and Maccas have chucked it on a burger. Gotta love lamb.

Down – Dead Aussie Soldiers – Can someone please remind us why we have troops in Afghanistan again?
