Coogee resident sarah Klouth is working on an independent web series called ‘Waiters’, which is being shot at Coogee’s sauce Bar and Grill. She shares her local favourites with The Beast…

How long have you lived here?
Just on two years now. I moved up on Australia Day of 2011 from Canberra and loved it instantly.

What’s your favourite beach?
Gordon’s Bay because of its quiet nature and the fact that you can tan on the rocks rather than sand, which tends to bug me after a while when it’s in every piece of clothing and spreading around the house for days!

What’s your favourite eatery?
I love Sauce Bar and Grill in Coogee for their ribs and steaks, Melonhead for their fresh juices on the go and Bondi Pizza for their famous chocolate scrolls and brownie.

Where do you like to have a drink?
I’m kind of a home body so first choice is always to have drinks on my balcony with my man, but if I do venture out I like to get some takeaway drinks with friends and park at Clovelly Beach car park, overlooking most of the Eastern Suburbs shoreline, especially at dusk.

What music are you into at the moment?
I’ve always been a huge fan of hip hop and RnB but lately I’ve found myself turning to more chilled vibes like City and Colour, Bon Iver, The Middle East, Frank Ocean and occasionally The Glitch Mob, who are a little more up tempo.

Who is your favourite person?
Corny as it sounds, my boyfriend is my favourite person. He is the master of making me laugh and is a very talented, creative person who always keeps me on my toes and always has something new to teach me.

What do you get up to on the weekends?
I’m usually pretty flat out with script writing, editing my short films and web series episodes, and casting. When time permits, however, I love to go to the movies (anywhere, anytime), go to the city or beaches for dinner, or just have a nice night in with a home cooked meal and some good old TV!

What do you do for work?
I study filmmaking at The International Film School Sydney full-time and I work on my independent web series, ‘Waiters’, in my few spare hours.

What’s your favourite thing about your work?
I love working in the film industry because you get to work with so many different people every day and are surrounded by creative types. I feel like I’m finally in the perfect field of work for my personality and for what I want out of life, which is really just to get paid for doing something I love.

Do you have a favourite quote?
