By Dan Hutton on July 11, 2011 in People

Bronte marriage celebrant Gary Mooney has lived in Bronte his whole life and has surfed the famous reef since he was just a kid. He has also been a member of Bronte Surf Club for 35 years. If you are considering getting married in the near future you can phone him on 0415 924 598, email glrc@bigpond.com or visit www.brontecelebrant.com.au and he will facilitate a wedding that will be remembered always. Gary shares his local favourites with The Beast…

Favourite Beach: Bronte, naturally, and Green Island on the South Coast and West Java are my ‘secret’ spots.

Eatery: Jenny’s and Cafe Q at Bronte, and Maya Da Dhaba in Surry Hills is the best Indian in Sydney.

Watering Hole: Bronte Surf Club on Sundays.

Sporting Team: Sydney Roosters, when they win!

Music: Jeff (my son’s band), Bon Jovi, Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, Dereck Trucks Band and Chris Brown.

Person: Anyone that enriches my life and doesn’t weigh me down.

Weekend Activity: Surfing Bronte Reef when it’s not crowded, running in the Bronte Joggers Club and chilling.

Quote: “The quality will be remembered long after the price has been forgotten.”

Favourite Thing About Your Work: Meeting amazing couples and having a big hand in people’s future together – what more can a marriage celebrant want?!

Final Word: There are the ‘Gunnas’ and there are the ‘Doers’. In other words, don’t die wondering what could have been, you are dead for a long time!
