Originally from West Pymble, Andrew Dormand has lived in Coogee for eight years and in the Eastern Suburbs for 16 years. He is a graphic designer and the owner of Dormand, a small graphic and web design business. Andrew shares his local favourites with The Beast…

Favourite Beach: It’s hard to pick one, but these days I’d have to choose South Maroubra. It’s so peaceful and no one gets cranky with you if you duff the occasional take off.

Eatery: Hurricanes in Roscoe Street, Bondi. Ribs, bib and a beer – what more could a bloke want?

Watering Hole: Back in the day the original BB’s on Curlewis Street, Bondi had such a great vibe. It was a real moment in time. These days I love a few afternoon beers with some mates at the Palace.

Sporting Team: The Wallabies.

Music: Right now I’m loving Seeker Lover Keeper – amazing Aussie talent. But beyond that, anything from Ani DeFranco to Stevie Ray Vaughan to the Finn Brothers, as long as the music has heart.

Person: My wife. She is an amazing mother to our two young boys and a constant source of inspiration for me.

Weekend Activity: These days all I want to do on the weekend is spend time with my family. Playing down the beach with my boys and then a few wines with my wife is the ideal weekend for me (with the occasional Friday afternoon session with some mates at the Cloey of course).

Quote: “Imagination is more important than knowledge”.

Final Word: Dormand specialises in giving small business a mighty visual presence. We’re about discovering exactly what’s great about you, and telling the world about it. Give me a buzz on 0408 602 398 or visit www.dormand.com.au.
