Craig is originally from Auckland, New Zealand and has lived in Coogee for around three and a half years. His wife Diane has lived in Coogee her whole life. He does surfboard and surf craft repairs including specialised epoxy work. If you ‘have a Barry’ in the surf and need some panel beating give Craig a call on 0421 101 678. Craig shares his local favourites with The Beast…

Favourite Beach: Maroubra, Bondi and Manly.

Eatery: Pinocchio’s at The Spot (best Italian seafood).

Watering Hole: Coogee Diggers. Nick, the chef that runs the bistro, is a good friend and loves to surf. I also like The Ritz Bar and The Duke of Gloucester Hotel in Randwick.

Sporting Team: South Sydney, thanks to my wife.

Music: Angus and Julia Stone, The Waifs, House of Shem and most music from the seventies onwards.

Person: Diane, my wife, and my good friends and family.

Weekend activity: Surfing, working and cruising.

Quote: “The harder I work, the less I earn”.

Favourite Thing About Your Work: Meeting people and not having to answer to a boss, but especially seeing the little groms’ faces when they get their boards back in one piece.

Final Word: Having surfed since a young age, I just love seeing kids out in the surf and being active, not at home on computers all day – I love seeing a balance in their lives. Surfing has created some wonderful friends in my life over the years and they are friends that will stick by me forever. I’d also like to thank Maroubra Surf and Skate, Dripping Wet Bondi and Manly, and Surf Culture Bondi Junction for the support they’ve given me and for helping the business to grow from just a few boards a week to where it is now.
