By Dan Hutton on January 30, 2012 in People

Kathryn McCusker has lived in Tamarama for two years after relocating back to Australia from London, where she had been based for over eleven years. Kathryn is a singer and a Kundalini yoga and meditation teacher with over ten years of experience, and has recently opened her own yoga space called KMYOGA in Bondi Junction. Kathryn shares her local favourites with The Beast…

Favourite Beach: Tamarama. It reminds me why I moved back from London!

Eatery: Bondi Tratt for great food and atmosphere and M Deli in Tamarama for delicious salads and friendly staff.

Watering Hole: The Corner House on Bondi Road.

Music: Eclectic – Ella Fitzgerald, Puccini and Kundalini mantras.

Person: My husband Paul, who I can have a good laugh with even in the most challenging moments.

Weekend Activity: I teach Kundalini Yoga on Saturday and Sunday mornings, then I relax over lunch, have a swim at the beach and enjoy a good book or film if I have time.

Quote: “It’s not the life that matters; it is the courage you bring to it.”

Favourite Thing About Your Work: It is encouraging and inspiring to watch people heal themselves and transform their lives through the teachings of Kundalini yoga and meditation.

Final Word: I’m excited about my new yoga space and I’m looking forward to sharing it with the community. All new students can come and enjoy the benefits of Kundalini meditation and yoga for an introductory offer of two weeks unlimited yoga for only $25.
