Nick has lived in Randwick for fifteen years. He has grown up in the Eastern Suburbs all of his life, spending most of his time around Bondi at the family business, Bondi Beach Cellars on Hall Street. Nick shares his local favourites with The Beast…

Favourite Beach: Definitely Bondi; I’ve spent most of my life in and around the bottle shop and the beach.

Eatery: Azteca’s Mexican restaurant on Avoca Street in Randwick. It does the best chicken burrito going around and the owner even gets on the guitar and sings some Mexican classics.

Watering Hole: It would have to be the Nelson Hotel in Bondi Junction. It’s a good old-fashioned pub where you can sit down, have a steak and a beer, watch any sport or have a punt on the TAB.

Sporting Team: The Dragons – go the Red V!

Music: I’m pretty easy going with my music; happy to listen to most things.

Person: Probably my grandfather; he’s 86 years old and plays 18 holes of golf twice a week, allows himself one beer a day and loves a punt!

Weekend Activity: My weekends are usually pretty relaxed. I go out for drinks with friends and see where we end up!

Quote: “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

Favourite Thing About Your Work: I really enjoy trying the new products and customising our range to make sure everything is quality and not just filling the hole on the shelf.

Final Word: Make sure you get down and check out our newly renovated store. We have doubled the floor space, have over 120 different varieties of beer and cider, and a huge range of wines and spirits. And if you’re after something obscure, let us know and we’ll try to get it for you!
