Local Favourites – Tim Wright

By Dan Hutton on May 10, 2011 in People

Tim Wright is a born and bred Maroubra boy and has lived there for 28 years. He still lives only 500m from his childhood home. Tim has just opened his own physiotherapy clinic called The Wright Physio on Dudley Street in Coogee. You can visit www.thewrightphysio.com.au for more info. Tim is also the current first grade captain at Randwick and has played for the Brumbies and the Aussie Sevens team. Tim shares his local favourites with The Beast…

Favourite Beach: Maroubra – less tourists, more waves!

Eatery: Coogee Cafe for a Sunday breaky, a lazy coffee or a bit of tapas with some great beers.

Watering Hole: Randwick Ruggers, especially after a big home win.

Sporting Team: The Wicks and the Rabbits.

Music: I’m loving the new The National CD. You may hear it at The Wright Physio if you are around Dudley Street.

Person: My wife Nadia, for putting up with my multiple horrific injuries and still letting me play footy.

Weekend Activity: Summer – surf session with the boys down the coast. Winter – a sunny Saturday arvo playing rugby followed by a few beers at the Ruggers.

Quote: “If you’re not first, you’re last!”

Favourite Thing About Your Work: I am finally my own boss at The Wright Physio. If you drive past and i’m closed it’s probably because the surf is good.

Final Word: I’ve suffered a lot of injuries myself and treated and rehabbed a number of patients. I’m confident that I can have you returning to life injury free in no time. Come and visit me at The Wright Physio, 67 Dudley Street, Coogee or give me a call on 9664 9972.
