Video of the Week – SHINY (2016 Tropfest Winner)

After nearly coming to a grinding halt last year due to financial problems, Tropfest made its long-awaited return from the bring on Sunday night and Sydneysiders turned out in force at Centennial Park to watch the 16 finalist films live under the stars.

Rain threatened, but pretty much held off in the end, ensuring that the alleged 90,000 people in attendance stayed dry and hung around until the end.

At the end of the night there could be only one winner, and it was the film above, SHINY, a comedic stop-motion flick about a bag snatcher and a suit wearing hero of the day. It’s pretty bloody impressive.
