Feel The Vibrations

By Dan Hutton on January 28, 2011 in Arts

Festival season is in full swing in Sydney and there are few fiestas that rival good ol’ Good Vibrations.

The line-up for this year’s festival (which will take place on February 12) is, as always, simply outstanding.

Pioneering UK dance act Faithless will headline this year’s festival. Joining them will be French indie rockers Phoenix, rap/reggae combo Nas and Damian Marley, electronic pioneer Sasha and entertainment mogul Ludacris.

You can also catch soul sister Erykah Badu, genre straddling diva Kelis (who will be bringing all the boys to her yard), eclectic pop indie duo The Ting Tings and Swedish electro-pop stars Miike Snow.

Friendly Fires make a very welcome return to the line up, alongside genre-bending pirates of soul Fat Freddy’s Drop, rising cooler than you star Mike Posner and local upstarts Yolanda Be Cool.

The golden boy of UK dubstep himself Rusko will be there with enigmatic DJ/producer extraordinaire Fake Blood, Riverside floor filler Sidney Samson, and local shooting stars Bag Raiders.

Also joining the line up are Aussie hip hoppers Koolism, hotly tipped Perth youngsters Tim & Jean, killer US electro house producer Kill The Noise and emerging young Brits Fenech-Soler.
