James Reid-Boquist has lived in Bronte for about fifteen years now. He was born on a boat in Amsterdam with no
midwife present (true story). James is a massage therapist operating throughout the Eastern Suburbs. James shares
his local favourites with The Beast…

Favourite Beach: Bronte. Especially in the winter. Swimming off the back of the pool on a sunny day is emotional.

Eatery: Gotta be the Three Blue Ducks. My brother lets me eat free any time of the week. Food’s alright too.

Are you a folder or a scruncher? Well I used to be a scruncher but due to environmental pressures and global warming I’ve converted to folding. It’s more economical too.

Music: I make a little bit of my own with my friend Sammy Kellett. Otherwise I’m an FBi junkie.

Person: My brothers make me proud.

Watering Hole: I’m not much of a drinker but I like The Local on the corner of Flinders and South Dowling Streets.
I quite enjoy their trivia on a Monday night.

Weekend Activity: Ping pong is quickly getting a grip on my soul. I’ve heard rumours of a local tournament lurking around the corner too – watch out!

Quote: I find it hard to go past this one from poet Rumi: “Beyond ideas of right doing and wrong doing there is a
field, I’ll meet you there.”

Favourite Thing About Your Work: Relieving people of pain and helping them to unwind and come to a place of deep relaxation.

Final Word: If you’re in need of soft tissue manipulation for the relief of injury or just need to de-stress, you can find me on the weekends at Anne Mcqueen’s clinic, 222 Bronte Road, Waverley, or you can call me on 0415 686 143.
