Video of the Week – Bondi Babe
Bondi Babe by JagMG Feat. Abe Mitchell from Ginja Ninja on Vimeo.
Put simply, this song is so bad it’s good. While on first inspection it looks like nothing more than an opportunity for Anthony Carroll to show off his creepy side, Perth Standlick to take one more step towards the door of his closet, and Rodney ‘The King’ Kerr to exhibit his rhythm on camera, apparently it’s all for a good cause.
According to the press release that came with it:
“Two of Australia oldest and most famous surf clubs, Bondi Surf Bather’s Life Saving Club and North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club will be the recipients of a community fund?raising project, pioneered by a group of Bondi locals.”
“Businessman, entrepreneur and Bondi local, Gary Linz, together with a handful of mates created Bondi Babe, a music video clip that plans to go viral in an effort to raise money for the clubs.”
“The song is a parody and a light-Âhearted lampoon of recognisable Bondi characters. The community project has involved everyone from Waverley garbage collectors to the Bondi Rescue team.”
We reckon it’s funny (and The Beast actually makes a small cameo) and we hope you enjoy it!
Y’know I reckon you could make a quid! It’s catchy and funny – get it out there!

This is the most uncreative trashy song I have ever heard, it is a disgrace to any creative personalities, benefit the community by creating some real music not make a mockery of creativity.
